Agreed. I believe I got the full V5 collection for something like 99 dollars last year, which is the only reason I own them all.

And don't even get me started on their horrid proprietary authorization app. I've had to delete the thing and re-install several times in the last year, because it never seems to work very well, and at the moment, I can't even login to their website to redownload it, because the login page is throwing a 504 error.

And yeah - the downloads always take forever.

Had a good read on the FaceBook threads regarding the Collection 6 and many users were disgruntled at the latest €199 upgrade charge and were passing.

All IMHO of course.
Yes that's cheap from IKM, but on a positive note with Arturia's products though,
..., is they integrate so smoothly with their Arturia Hardware keyboards , plus Arturia have also adopted the NKS functionality to fluidly work with Native Instruments Keyboards as well .

The Fact that IK Multimedia refuses to integrate any of their Instruments with Native Instruments NKS has now made buying anything from IKM them a show stopper for me

Arturia was one of the very first companies to Jump on board with NKS , and many other big names have also jumped on board with NKS also.

To continue with my downloads I am now downloading direct from their website .

I remember their site doing this same crap when V5 came out.

It's good that the Arturia stuff has adopted NKS functionality as Arturia's own keyboards have major quality issues centered around longevity. They tend to not work completely well for long.

Just over on the Arturia forums and several people are having issues just trying to get the Arturia Service Center to connect with the servers. That's not a new thing as it happened earlier this year. One of the problems I had was I would get a 'download paused' message in ASC at random times during the update which was a royal pain; I just couldn't set the update running and walk away to do other things. Things like work on my drum technique

I looked at that Arturia authorization app and said no thanks immediately. Now I'm glad I did. I never really got into the "patches made by so and so" idea either. I've been disgusted with IK authorization setup for so long that I don't even think about it anymore, but that's exactly why I try to avoid that type of usage model.

I've never had a issue with the Arturia Software Centre app or authorisation of the software. Might be a temporary server outage since C6 was released?

I can't even get the app to connect to the servers now.
Just keeps telling me it is offline and it failed to connect to the servers.

Every time they do an major upgrade their website and other services grind to a halt. They need to get better IT staff or IT Partners that can ramp up resources during heavy periods. I mean, spin up another web and app server via VM for times of crisis or farm out to AWS where they scale automatically on usage.
I guess I will try back in a week once things settle down. I would be livid if I had shelled out for the upgrade and then kept getting errors when trying to download my purchased products. Another reason to not jump on the overpriced upgrade.
Arturia really made this decision not to upgrade pretty easy for me this time around. I will wait for v7 or maybe even v8 if they keep their pricing scheme the same.

Could also be you're less server hops away from Arturia who's based in Grenoble than those of us having issues here in the US and all the way over in Bali.
