Crashes after apparently opening Pro Tools
I had a problem with the OS 10.3.7 update, so I did an archive+install then took my system back up to 10.3.6, uninstalled Pro Tools (wiping all the files that had been left after doing Searches for Digidesign and Pro Tools). Repaired disk permissions. Restarted. Re-installed Pro Tools, restarted, repaired disk permission again, restarted for luck and opened Pro Tools. Now instead of crashing at the Harware Reset DSI part of startup, it seems to load all the plugins happily (including the iLok authorised stuff) but then crashes and OS 10.3.6 offers to send a report to Apple. I have this report to hand, it's pretty long but the main part of it seems to be:
Exception: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (0x0002) Code[0]: 0x00000002 Code[1]: 0x0000ab70 Anyone seen this before? I'm not going to hold out on Apple to sort it for me. Should I try moving up to OS 10.3.7 again? Merry Christmas |

Re: Crashes after apparently opening Pro Tools
Forget that, sorted it. I'm so dumb, and didn't realise I had to download updates for the plugins for PT 6.4 as well as the actual program... Doh!
