Default Virtual Guitarist

Have been looking(drooling) at this and was wondering if anyone had any experience using it in Protools?
Thanks in advance!

Well, since it's a VST plugin only (like all Steinberg products), you'd have to get the VST-to-RTAS wrapper and then try it.

I tried it out at a friend's studio, using the vst-rtas adapter, and while it worked ok wth the adapter, I found the plugin itself to be rather useless. I got the impression from Steinberg's site that this pluging was a guitar synth that would play back guitar samples of the notes you fed it through midi. What I discovered though, is that it only plays back riffs and licks that are built into it. We couldn't play single notes or chords that we wanted to add to a song, and none of the riffs included with the plugin were apropriate for the song at all.

Well that sounds not so good. Glad I didn't jump and buy it. I have the wrapper, so that is not a problem. I just assumed it was a synth of some sort. Thanks for the answer.
