Default Protools low on memory?

I recently read a post about protools saying it was low on memory. The user had a new Imac. (I'm assuming it was the mid 2011 model.) Well come to find out while i was mixing a session i encountered the same problem. It happened while i was about 30 to 40 minutes in the session. The user with the prior post didn't mention when it happened to his. Anyway i was using elastic audio to correct timing issues on some drum tracks. What i was doing was manually fixing the hits the computer didn't fix when i quantized. So as i was literally going through and fixing pretty much every bit, it happened. I'm also using a new Imac (the mid 2011). I'm running protools 8.05 with a digidesign 003+. The Imac is a 2.5 ghz with the new i5 quad core processors running 10.6.6. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
