Quick Punch Doesn't Work

I just installed PT11 on my PC using a 003 Rack as an interface. Though most things work I cant get Quick Punch to work with the Momentary Foot Switch that worked fine with PT8, PT9 and PT10 before!!!
Anyone with a suggestion?? HELP PLEASE

Do you have to assign the footswitch function in your setup preferences?

I don't believe you have an option to assign the footswitch function anywhere.
The footswitch connects to a 1/4" dedicated input jack on the back of the 003 Rack Hardware. I can't find a reference activating or deactivating it anywhere. It's a great feature of the 003 system and makes it really easy to play along with a track activating recording on the fly and saves a lot of track editing later. I really want this to work again!!

Had a problem like this several years ago when I upgraded from PT8 to 9! Now it's back again! Can't Punch in using footswitch which is a real pain One of the best features of the 003 being able to punch in and out while recording a track!!

Please-- If anyone is listening please tell me they are fixing this or there is a work around other than hitting the "#3" on the keyboard!!! HELP!!

Have you looked at 'Hardware' option to play/stop or record in/out?

And, have you right-clicked on the record button and enabled Quick Punch?

Posted this before but no-one has had an answer for me. The Punch In Footswitch stopped working when I upgraded to PT11.

Does anyone have a suggestion or a way I can contact AVID and put a message out to their Tech Support. No-one appears to have an answer or suggestion.

With PT10 AVID had to do an update to repair the same issue. Appears they created the problem again. Should be a simple keyboard routing issue since the keypad #3 works perfectly punching in and out. Why they didn't fix this in the update is a mystery??

I am having the same exact problem. Protools 10 shows the option to connect a footswitch. I have used it and it works fine. 11 does not. Anybody have the answer?

With what interface? FWIW, the Presonus Faderport also has a footswitch jack and that can be used to Start/Stop, or to punch in/out(by hitting the SHIFT key on the Faderport). Also, FWIW, when I use the footswitch connected to my 003, punches are way behind hitting the button(requiring editing to the track), while the same footswitch, used with the Faderport is nearly perfect(things that make you go, "Hmmm")
