error message pops up.. is it PT or MAC?
im getting the "Session must be on an Audio record volume" message when starting protools session. im running pt le 7.4 on mac 10.7.5. i try and go into the screen and change the T and P to R but will not allow it. i even went to the utilty disk and repaired permissions.. still nothing working..

You must record audio to a separate drive from the system drive, either another internal on a tower, or an external on laptop or other.

and the drive needs to be correctly formatted
on MAC that is HFS+ non-case sensitive journalling on

I think you are on the right track here with changing the drive to "R" and as Craig pointed out that might require initializing the drive.
