Default Increase Tempo of Recorded Song

I recorded a song (multiple tracks) at 120 bpm. I'd like to increase the tempo to 130 bpm. I know there's gotta be an easy way to do this, but as a weekend warrior I can't figure it out. Help! Peace out. Michael

Okay but we'll need to know some more info on your session. If you already recorded a lot of
audio tracks over the top of any midi,it's gonna be difficult and could take a little while.
All of your audio tracks will have to be sliced up and changed over to tick based. You can
apply the tempo change, but all those little regions will have clicks and pops in them but luckily
all you have to do is highlight the entire tack and apply crossfades wich could take a few minutes
for each track Otherwise you might be better off re-tracking your audio parts.

IF you have just midi though all you have to do is click on the conductor button on the
tansport and type it in. You can also click on the tempo editor(arrow) at the lower lefthand
corner of the timeline. When it opens up you can draw in the tempo change,or apply a gradual
curve. I've found this to be useful after I've got my midi parts down where I can play
around with tempo changes in a song. Once I like the feel of it, I can record my audio tracks
over the top.

Like I said though, let us know more about your session.....

There's no midi involved. Eight tracks of drums recorded through a Focusrite Octopre into the optical input on the back of the 002R (ADAT). Six Guitar, one bass and one vocal track recorded through the analog inputs on the back of the 002R. That's about it. Thanks

The only way I know of doing this is to Time compress the Audio. Results of changing the regions 10bpm will be poor.

Basically, I dont think it can be done well enough, without re tracking the song.

Neil.

I've done this before. Once you have got the mix right, bounce everything to a single stereo
track. Then you can use time compression/expansion on that track. It works as long as you dont
take it too far. If it needs to be exactly 130bpm it might be more tricky to do it this way though.

I use serato pitch and time. Its expensive but just a matter of typing the new tempo and its done. same with pitch.

Simple, import the files to Melodyne and change the tempo, export and import it to PT.
It doesn't change the pitch.

Finish the song at 120 bpm. Take your final mix and use serato pitch and time to change bpm. The best plug in I know to do this flowlessly. Melodyne is good but there is some bouncing and converting, with serato you'll do it less than a couple of minutes.

The Serato pitch and time plug worked flawlessly. Thanks!
