I tried to get into PT's 10 using the N key and the playback engine comes up but there is no way to change the asio for all.I did that on PT's 2018 and there is a way to change it on that version I see what your saying but it won't work on PT's 10

It's actually the same all the way back to PT9, so perhaps it's not installed correctly on your old computer? http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/H...s-and-ASIO4ALL

You're still going to need a drive (or the computers networked somehow) to move your sessions over. So copying the session folder(s) might be a simpler option to try first.

Hello Jeff I was able to retrieve some of the audio on one song by copying the audio files over to a thumb drive.I didn't get all of them but enough to get me going back on the song.I will try to find the other song audio files

Well that's progress at least! Check out Rich's advice earlier in the thread to track down your other files on the old system. Not sure about your plans for your old system, but if it was me I'd consider just pulling the drive out and putting it in the new computer or into an external enclosure to provide more flexibility.

oh that's a good idea..maybe I should do that it would be a lot easier. If my new computer has 2 Solid state drives would I be able to put the older type in forgot what they call those older type drives.

At this point, perhaps you should consider hiring a competent Pro Tools tech/engineer for a couple hours to come over to your place and straighten things out. You're in LA, so there's plenty of good people around.
