Understanding CPU Usage
Hi I'm having this issue were i keep getting 6101 error increase hardware buffer blah blah blah.... when I look at my CPU usage meter in protools 11 i am noticing that only 1 of my 8 CPUs is doing the processing and its hitting like 50% on idle. when I start playback it jumps to around 80% and then a 2nd CPU helps the load to about 20% but i have 6 other CPUs doing nothing.
I am running reason in rewire and this is whats cause the CPU draw I know. I want to know why protools is basically only using 1 of my 8 CPUs to process this, its getting really frustrating and I would appreciate some insight. Thanks |
