It's called economies of scale.

Make one and sell it for $500 and put Magma out of business. Isn't that the American way?

You guys do realize that the Accel PCI to PCI-e exchange is not shown on Avid's web site.

Avid recently worked on the site to remove the Native exchanges; if the Accel PCI to PCI-e exchange is back one would think they would have put it on the web site at that time.

The only thing on the Avid web site is: Please check back for new offers in July 2011!...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

I have verified that vintage king has the deal. I often buy old cards, exchange, then sell on eBay, you'd be surprised how many people don't do their homework.

I just dont get it.
How can the exchange be valid in some countries only?
I keep asking my dealer about this. He knows nothing about it (honestly).

Sweetwater has it online, just buy through them, they ship internationally don't they?

I'm thinking about buying several and then reselling.

Don't get your strategy... Do you plan reselling the old cards or the crossgraded new cards?

I track all HD pcie systems on eBay, when I see a trend, I jump on it.

I buy legacy cards that are able to do a transfer of ownership, then use those to upgrade with. Then sell the new HD pcie core card on eBay for usually a grand profit.

It'd harder to do these days as most legacy cards for sale don't come with a transfer of ownership.
