Possible issue with Pro Tools 6+ & nvidia
Now I believe that nvidia chipsets aren't supported by Pro Tools, but an earlier post of mine describing some strange noises during playback of 24 bit audio files, including db level jumps on every other loop?!? Don't ask, anyway, I think I've got it licked. If you have a mobo with nvidia chipsets, such as nforce2 or whatever, it seems like that their latest drivers don't like Pro Tools much (4.31 I believe). After I uninstalled and then installed nvidia's 3.13 drivers, it was sorted. Just an idea for anyone in that situation. Hope this helps.
