i read a couple reviews on the Behringer and not so good in the upper ranges of Gain ... noisy - no, i have not used one but this should be stupid simple for the operator .. just for a Bass .. so no need for a mic preamp ..

Just get an Apogee Jam. I have one for guitar, that's what the iRig "HD" aspires to be.. after Apogee rubbed their noses in how bad the early analog iRig's were (I owned one of those as well). They Apogee Jam is very good if all you want is a low-cost DI input.

was my first thought too as you can see above, sharing a brian cell today we are i think ..!! haha .. just thought i would post the iRig in contrast to the Behringer in case the budget is super low ..
but fully agree Jam it !!
