Default Problem hearing back my recordings in pro tools

well my problem started two days ago I was recording and when i played it back it wouldn't play the vocals it played the beat but not the vocals so i started messing with the options in the track and i hit where it says vocal and turned dyn off then back on and I could here my vocals but when i delete the track to re record I get the same problem and have to put dyn off then back on.
does anyone know what is going on here. I don't know I called the guitar center and they said they have no clue never heard of it happening.

Sounds like you ran out of tracks. Pro Tools has a limit of 32 voices. Stereo tracks count as 2 voices. How many tracks are you using and what kind?

Is the track still armed when you are trying to play it back? Which monitoring mode are you in; Input Only or Auto Input?

Could you describe your recording process in detail? It's hard to pinpoint exactly what the problem could be without knowing details about what you are doing. Try to be as detailed as possible, including all mouse clicks, settings, etc.

This could also just be the result of corrupted preferences; have you tried trashing prefs and databases?
