Nope not at all. Isn't that a Quad?

Xeon reminds me of those machines used as servers.

I am sure these will blow away TWO top of the line $2500 duo 2 core laptops.

The best cost more of course. I'm sure it can run a TDM system.

to me its way over priced well if you made this pc using amd products you could make this pc for half the price if not even less then that and get the same speed.
look at this

AMD Dual Core AM2 3800+ 2.00G 2x512K (SKT940) Box! AMD Dual Core AM2 3800+ 2.00G 2x512K (SKT940) Box! Good for Multi-Tasking!

$164.00

Intel Xeon Dual-Core 5130 2.0GHz ...
Now with dual-core technology, servers based on Intel Xeon processors provide the built-in standards, stability, and scalability your ...

$583.99

and on that pc you could go with a cheaper burner then the one there giving you.
and you can get a 300gb drive now days for a $130 maybe cheaper online.
get you a case for $40 to $80 depending on the look you want.

But if you don't build a computer and compare it to others out there. It's actually priced accordingly to the present market.

For example, how about the Dell XPS 710 H2C (Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD) which is priced around $5499.00.

These prices ARE the norm. And the latter was not even a XEON!

Generally, computers that are sold as music specific are over priced IMO.
