Default Can\'t syncronise tracks

Hey, can anyone help me:
I dumped a whole lot of tracks that a mate recorded into a session so as to edit it for him. Some of them are perfectly synced to the beat and some aren't. I used Beat detective to try and fix this, which worked for one of them but not the rest. How else can I shift a region by smaller increments than the beat?
Much obliged to anyone who can advise me.
