how to stop in mid track and play from that point
Hey,
Let's say you've recorded a a track right..and you hit 'play' with the spacebar..it starts playing..and keeps playing..and then let's say you want to stop it at a certain point. Well, when i hit the spacebar to stop..or 0 on the numeric keypad..it stops it...but it doesn't do what i want it to do...it stops and goes back to the start...no matter whether i hit the spacebar or 0. what i WANT to happen, is i hit stop and it STAYS in that spot! And then when i hit the spacebar again, instead of starting over..it starts playing from that point that i stopped it. See what i'm saying here? How do you do this? Also, is there a way to make an imported movie's screen a bigger size? I imported an AVI movie (becuz i'm syncing the audio to it) and the default movie screen is really small so it's hard to see my characters move. Can i change this somewhere to make it bigger? Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks.. |

Selecting "Link Edit and Timeline Selection" should solve your start and stop issue. I don't no about the movie questions.

Re: how to stop in mid track and play from that po
If you have command focus on "abc" icon
You just click N and that toggles between "insertion follows playback" - I think this is what you are looking for. -Justin

Re: how to stop in mid track and play from that po
Read the manual! It covers all of this. i use pdf for searchability, and the big ol one in print for the bathroom...great place to brush up on the commands.
Command focus lets one key be used for common commands. In the top left of the edit window there is a button that says "abc" you need to turn that on, then N will work for you. if that doesnt make sense then I cant help you. You can also go into prefs and change "insertion follows playback" I think there is a DISK flick on this very thing.
