Default Monitor Outputs WAY too loud

Hey, this might be a ridiculous question, but I just set up my first HD Native system. I'm trying out a Burl B80 Mothership as the HD Interface, but it doesn't have any built in monitor controls or Monitor software. When I hook up my monitors to the first 2 outputs, and run my mix through A 1-2, the volume coming out of my monitors is terrifyingly loud, to the point that I feel if I kept it playing for more than a second or 2 it would blow my speakers. Any help on how to control this? Do I need an interface with a monitor control as well?

You just need a monitor controller. Here's a new one that's inexpensive and won't degrade or color the sound:

There are also higher priced ones, but this should do the trick.
