Default Cannot install PTF

I truly hate to be this guy, but I cant even get PTF to install...

It appears like its trying to, but then nothing happens.

I am using it with a Focusrite 6i6 using the USB cord supplied by Focusrite.

Please see the attached pictures to see the trouble I'm having.

After the last photo it just returns to the purple installation screen.

Any advice would be HUGELY appreciated.

Again I really apologize for this being my first post.

No need to apologize. I'd help if I could. Many people seem to have trouble with PTF. It might have bugs.
Phone help from Avid is expensive. I found a downloadable book that's helped me. "Pro Tools First 12: How It Works"
by Edgar Rothermich. He has detailed explanations about installation. I think it's still $15. Good luck with this.

The dialog in your 4th picture usually happens when windows can't interrupt the command that was used to launch that installer. This is usually more of an OS issue than something wrong with PT.

Is this system up-to-date with updates and patches?
Have you had any problems installing any other software?

Is there any antivirus, like Norton or some other running? You can try disabling antivirus during the install to see if it helps.

PT is made up of a bunch of individual installers. My guess is that one of them is failing, causing the main installer to roll back, which leaves you with nothing.
