Other SCSI PCI cards, than SCSI|128Kit which work?
1) Curious on who is running PTLE in osX or os9 satisfactorily with a SCSI PCI card other than the SCSI|128 kit??? This card seems overkill and looks to be designed for higher end systems... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I see from the compatibility pages there are a couple of discontinued cards. (SCSI|64 card and ATTO cards) Ive got a few SCSI drives already and im using the internal SCSI-1 (yes i know slow, comparitively) some 18gb cheetahs 10kRPM, 1 50pin, 2 80pin w/adapter inside a PM8600. I am wondering if some older card may help performance... to-date nothing is sticking in the mud, but ive got money to burn (not enough for a new computer, tho) and id like to tweak my old faithful to a higher level while buying something that will migrate with me when i do finally buy a new (used DP 1.4 G4) computer sometime in the far future.(when prices are really cheap). (I expect I will not go G5 for many years so PCI compatibility is not an issue....) thanks for the input EBC
