Default Air Conditioning in a small room

Without getting into any elaborate and expensive scenarios, I want to put a window mounted type air conditioner in the room I am currently (temporarily) using for my studio. It's a typical small bedroom size and it's been getting quite warm with summer now here. Anyone have any tips on who makes the quietest (5200 BTU would be plenty) unit? If I have to I'll take breaks to let the room cool down but it would be great if I could at least do some of the not so critical work in pro tools with the AC running. Don't get a window mount. Get one of those portable ones that you can put behind your desk and won't hear the noise as much. They're probably a lot more quiet anyway. They have a small exhaust hose that you can run out your window (has a kit for this). They're also de-humidifiers which is nice. You get get them new from dealers on Ebay real cheap.

A portable, great idea, thanks! Now about that Genesis unit... will it make my mixes sound more ethereal?

Are there any local dealers that you know of in Southern California? Most of the companies that I have found that sell these are overseas.

Check Sears. The concept is good but I believe they are somewhat expensive.

I'm sure there are. Check Ebay for the brands of the portables, and then check the company's website for dealers in So. Cal.
