Default drag clip from clip list disable

Good morning,
I am on PT Artiste and on Windows 11. Since this morning (what happened during the night lol) PT no longer allows me to take a clip from the clip list located on the right to drag it into a track. I can clearly see my clip "arrive" in my track but when I release my mouse button the clip does not integrate....do you know why???

Might be a stereo track being dragged to a mono track or vise versa? Have your tried dragging on a mono or a stereo track?

no it's not that...I've tried everything stereo clip to stereo track, strereo clip to 2 mono tracks etc.....I've been using PT for over 15 years, I've never had this problem. The only way I currently have is to do "file import audio to track" and then move my clips like that. But impossible to put them from the clip list

Trashing prefs is step # 1 for any strange behavior(if only this worked on people)

There are a couple other reports of this happening in the main Pro Tools 2023.9 thread.
I'm going to post a quote of your solution to share with the others.
I take it you mean re-connecting the interface.

I'm having the same issue. I use Windows 10, PT version 2023.9, and a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface. I've tried all of the above mentioned solutions as well with no luck.

Can you please explain your process for how you disconnected your "sound card" and what sound card you are talking about?

Thanks in advance for your help
