Akai MPD26 creating some really bizarre PT click behavior
Hi all - I've done a bunch of searching and found nothing on this (here or at Akai). I'm running PT 8 on a Win7 64-bit system with no problems, but recently purchased an Akai MPD26 controller that has introduced some weird behavior. It works fine as a controller, say for BFD drums or what have you, but when I introduce a click track of any kind in PT, the trouble begins. Basically, the click continues non-stop (transport running or not), is sometimes independent of the tempo, and will even drop in and out sometimes erratically. If I disconnect the MPD26 (after shutting down and then restarting), all works fine again.
Anyone have any idea what's causing this? I've read through the Akai materials but have found nothing. I'm assuming it's some Midi slave/master issue or something like that. The controller is nice, but this behavior is super duper irritating Thanks |
