I didn't include my soundcard RME 9632 as an interface when describing my setup, but I got thinking about your got to have an interface and press N advice, originally pressing N never did anything, symptoms were still the same, so I started with my RME card and updated the driver and flashed latest software into it. Launched PT and pressed N and it ran, showed my card as interface and seemed normal, I then powered on my Audiofire preamps and all was normal, found all my previous templates and life is good once again, it even solved one other problem of a standalone program that wouldn't run either, which it does now.Thank you all big time for helping me down the road. Now back to making music.
