Playback at double speed (NOT SAMPLE RATE)
I am trying to record vocals for a podcast but all of my vocals are at double speed. I can play it back at half speed and they sound just fine. I have tried creating different sessions with different sample rates and bit depths but the results always sound the same. I could use any help whatsoever
I am on a macbook pro running monterey and have pro tools version 2023.9 (do i just have to update my computer???)

Are you half speed recording ?
SHIFT-COMMAND-SPACE or see the Pro Tools Reference Guide. This will have nothing to do with needing to update your computer. It might very well have something to do with wrong sample rates/clocking issues. What interface are you using and how is it clocked? What flavor of Pro Tools? Ultimate? Studio?
