Yes, but those features didnt exist prior to ICON and mixers werent reliant on them.
Thing is, you can no longer buy an ICON new to get those feautures, avid are forcing you to buy the new model, so how long till it works as elegantly as an ICON in these areas? If ever, given its eucon which means currently no import export session data of layouts etc?

I hear you. I would hope that the version of Eucon that will ship with the S6 (probably Q4) might have them then or soon thereafter. I guess only time will tell.

Hi all,

I was at the IBC the day the S6 was launched.
I had a demo of it and touched it .....
The S6 is great but not "finished" yet.
No custom fader for now, later.
I would say that the S6 is really nice but ... I did not like the rotaries (they lit in different colors but they don't feel as "firm" as those in my D-command), the press buttons are pretty small and dark, I prefer the ones in D-command.

The booth was pretty dark so I found a little difficult to use the S6.

Apart from that, great console, great job Avid.

Glad to see that you are possibly looking after your Icon customers as well as you have for the Pro Control & Control 24 users who also spent the top $$s for the most expensive products that Avid have ever produced.

Maybe you will create a migration EuCon translator box to keep their products alive for as long as they are electrically functional, you definitely owe it to them for the huge amounts they have spent, otherwise their investment has just died.

Hope you learned from the other dead controller issue.
