I don't know is it me
I have played around with midi drums via roland and tried plugins all kinds of different seetings. For some things that are on the grid real ahead more basic style drumming it seems to work, but trying to get finease it just seems like it is a waste of time...............I have even recorded just audio out of the roland and I seem to get better feel. the mdi always seems rigid and a bit sluggish

Re: I don't know is it me
2 things to check here; Do you have any auto-quantize settings in PT(which would destroy any player feel), and are you recording with the buffer at 64? I work with a Roland TD-10 kit and SD2 for 95% of my sessions without issue(and with many different drummers). The ability to change sounds at any time is really handy, as is the ability to make a correction here and there, and NOT have to make the drummer play it over and over. Also, consider that some drummers just don't play well with a click(but playing to a click and using GRID mode can make editing 1000 times easier).
