Hi all,

There is no room for argue here ;o) !!! someone has this problem and someone not.

This is noticed and serious taken problem issue by dealer here in Finland.
Digidesign is handling this in some level as informed to me ... and maybe some
information is received soon.

Simply the case is like ...

1. Switch power on in C24 and your monitors (my monitors: Genelec 8030A and 7050B), nothing else
2. Be sure to connect control room out in rear panel, so in stereo mode you have 1 and 3 ch. in use
3. Turn all the way down everything and just listen
4. If you don't hear anything ... be happy! )
5. If you hear low Hiss from monitors ... that's not expected and acceptable (
6. If you turn upper step by step the control room volume, then no more sounds appears until you are in 0dB or more and that is of course the fact and is acceptable !! It's huge load of gain.
7. If you connect monitors in rear panel (DB25) into CUE output, then there is no hiss !!!!!! but then you can't turn down the volume completed ... you will hear sound clearly even CUE switch is turned all the way down ... but it should be zero in common sense way !?

Something real odd is exist, that's the fact.

I hope that Degidesign take the case seriously.

br,Mikko
ps. I can live with that few weeks, but quick advices and corrective actions are expected

Hello,

Sorry to pull up this old thread but our C|24 has this identical hiss issue.

When the monitor section's Control Room gain is at -inf there is still an audible hiss coming from our Adam A7's. When the mute button is pressed the hiss disappears. With the gain stage at -inf and the mute off the hiss is present.

What could this be?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

-EP
