Default which MAC works best with LE 002

I currently have a PC that is running PT LE 002. Got it back in 2004. I want to switch to a MAC. What computer do you recommend for sufficient use? my PC is too slow/old and needs to be replaced with faster processor. I had some User in my other post state that the new iMACs aren't compatible. I want a fast and affordable computer. I don't need the disk space, as I have several external drives.

thanks.

i would get as much horsepower as you can afford.

if you need mobility, get a mac book pro, esp since you already have external drives.

if you shop around on the net, you find new (not used or refurb) Fall 2007 mac pros (really, they are the way to go if you can swing it) for about two grand flat. put in as much aftermarket RAM as you can. Ive got 2gb in mine (an upgrade at the time) and Im about to pop in 2 more.

i was a long time windows programmer and pc technician/network engineer. honestly, ill never go back.

good luck

I've really enjoyed newly being portable. And my MacBook has about 75% as powerful as my quite old now PPC G5 dual 2GHz which was always about as much power as I ever needed. MacBook Pro would be even more muscle.

Don't know if any of this applies to you?

Now to my real reason for posting : ) What's with the whole MAC thing??? It's Mac, simple. Where's it come from?

Ps buy extra RAM from Crucial. & save more money on screen... don't buy a fancy Apple one.
