Impressive indeed, but I'm not one of those 500'000'000 people. To me and my clients, our workflow, BitTorrent Sync has proven to be a better solution.

I'm looking forward to see what Avid bring to the game. Hopefully they'll perfect the collaboration workflow even more.

Okay. Thanks for the heads up.

Although it looks incredible and I'm looking forward to trying this out some day, I'm seriously having mixed feelings about this direction of developement. If only companies like Avid and Steinberg would focus more on bringing incredibly stable core platforms/APIs, and let the community of third party developers bring these kinds of plugins or extra features to the table instead. That way maybe as many jobs out there wouldn't be lost and we would probably have more diversity among features/add-ons.

Imagine where Avid would be without pressure from industry peers like Steinberg. Don't be bummed, be thankful.

Because even though Steinberg may be ahead in this area, we're not all switching to Cubase for a reason.
