Default audio "slides left" to autofill deleted section

PT 10.3.2 is "autofilling" or "backfilling" deleted audio.

Here's what I mean ---- When I cut two bars in the middle of a clip, e.g. Bars 61 and 62, the audio that had been at Bar 63 automatically slides two bars back in time to the left, and fills in where Bar 61 and 62 had just been deleted. I don't want that to happen. I want Bar 61 and 62 to be blank. Have never seen this happen in many years using Pro Tools.

So, okay, though I didn't notice doing it, and didn't want to do it, I must have clicked some setup parameter along the way that causes PT to slide audio to fill in deleted audio that just preceded it. Now I really need to know how to turn that function off, but haven't been able to find any reference to it in the Reference Guide or found any thread in the forum pertaining to this. So, anyone know what this is and how to stop it?

I think you may have hit the shuffle button (F1) somewhere along the way!

In the upper left section you have the option for grid, slip, shuffle and spot
You must have clicked shuffle in error. That is what it does.

Yes, that was it. Should have known. I think that was one of the first things I learned about PT years ago; and just didn't see it tonight. Thanks.

Yes - that was it. Wasn't seeing right there in front of my eyes that Shuffle was on. Thanks.
