Preventing Track Scrolling in Playlist View
In Pro Tools Ultimate 2019.12 comping drums having recently upgraded from a 10 TDM system and have an issue that is driving me up the wall I'm hoping someone can help me find a workaround for.
In short, if I'm dropped into playlist view comping grouped tracks with my selection on a playlist in the top track (kick drum in this case), anytime I shift the selection down/upward with ; it scrolls down to that playlist in the last track in the group (rooms in this case). I don't remember this behavior in 10 TDM but I could be wrong. In any case, I want my screen to stay static looking at the track I'm on as I move my selection around. Any preference or something to keep things in place like this? |

Re: Preventing Track Scrolling in Playlist View
Not sure I totally understand what's happening. Can you post some screen shots? If you have the group active, and you select a section on a playlist, doesn't it make that same selection on all the playlists in the group?

Re: Preventing Track Scrolling in Playlist View
I made a video detailing the issue, plus one more issue/glitch I'm dealing with.
Edit: Worth noting on the second issue, when screen recording, it apparently does not capture the color wheel appearing, though you can still see the computer hang upon stopping playback the first time until it resizes the playlists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSAc...ature=youtu.be Last edited by drewharris; 02-24-2020 at 05:20 PM. Re: Preventing Track Scrolling in Playlist View
Ok, I see what you're talking about and mine does the same thing with the playlist scrolling. This should be made into a preference as I can definitely see how annoying it could be!
On the other issue, my system isn't doing that. Does it happen with all plugins disabled? My first guess would be a plugin issue or a graphics/monitor issue. I'd try opening the session with plugins disabled and see what happens. Might also try some different settings in the playback engine.
