Keyboard midi OUT to the 003 midi IN. You might need to go into MIDI STUDIO setup and add a device, select a brand and model(similar if the exact model is not on the list) and leave all the MIDI channels in blue for now. Create a STEREO INSTRUMENT track, insert BFD in the top insert slot and it SHOULD work that easy(mine did). I also use a Trigger Finger on my desk, as well as a Roland kit with ezdrummer so I would expect you to get similar results. Good luck.

I see from your profile you're on a macbook pro. If this is the case, you should think about getting a midi to usb interface, available at most music stores or online dealers. Then you use the audio midi setup in Applications>Utilities. It scans the device and remembers it. Once you've done that, it will work within protools, garageband, or other recording applications, and standalone virtual instruments, regardless of whether your 003 is hooked up or turned on. It's just all around easier.

I personally have used this one, and it worked fine. I connect my roland concert piano midi out to it, and just leave it so its always there.

The Uno is excellent. I've had mine 5 years or so now.

+1 for the UNO. I have one on my rig and just installed another on a friend's HD/Mac Pro system and they both work great.

hi there , sorry to bug you with a continuation of the same thing...... u see i got the uno midi interface ..... i plugged in the midi end to my keyboard , searched it on aplications, utilities and it very well recognizes it ( it appears as uno interface) , but when i open protools and try and use it on.... let´s say the midi grand piano , nothing happens ...... i mean i can click the notes on it and hear them but i can´t control it from my midi keyboard........ the same with all my virtual instruments ...... the computer recognizes it but when i want to go ahead and play notes on the midi keyboard nothing happens..... am i missing some step?
Thnxs!
