MBox Malfunction?
all right, so i'm running Pro Tools LE 6.4 off of a Power Book G4 with Mac OS X.
yesterday when i plugged everything into my MBox and had everything set and ready to record, i realized that nothing was coming through on my headphones (when giving the "test test" as not to peak too much). i've tried two different mics and three cables, only to determine that it is my MBox that is not picking up anything at all. anyone out there got any ideas of what i might be doing wrong or what might be wrong with my MBox? i sure hope i can fix it, and not have to get a new one. thanks!! -kourtni |

Re: MBox Malfunction?
Make sure tracks are not muted, the balance knob is all the way over to "playback", the phantom power is on (if your mics need it), the gain is turned up at least halfway, and the input is set properly on your tracks. If you still get nothing, then it's over my head.
