Default New McDSP iLok policy?

The seller of a McDSP plugin that I bought on eBay claims that McDSP invoked on Jan 1st a new policy concerning iLok transfer. In short the eBay seller asserts that this new policy essentially negates the auction of the McDSP plugin, and the seller has given me a full refund. Any idea what policy the seller refers to? Is this limited to McDSP or some sort of new trend on the part of plug developers?

I just check the site and don't see any updates in regards to this. Though that doesn't mean its not true. When he/she tried to switch over the support for that plugin(s) they may have emailed/faxed saying this is not posible anymore. The McDSP site had a good Q&A page.

Thanks John. I'll guess that the eBay seller was not the original plug owner in this case, and that McDSP's policy requiring any seller to be the original registered owner is what got us in trouble here.

Most likely he was selling a plug-in asset from the Massive Pack and those assets are not transferable, the option to transfer those is not selectable on iLok.com. The same applies to Sony and Waves. The full version of McDSP plug-ins is transferable on iLok.com.
