I run OSX 10.8.5 with a PCI based PT10HD4 system.
Since my "Hack" has a digital output I can also run PT11HD Native using my UA192 as the DA converter
Can you tell me if I can use an Omni interface to launch PT 12 and still use my older Blue 192 as i/o?

I'm a little late to the game and came here looking for info on using the 192 still. I too have a hack and was wondering if you could elaborate on the 192 through the digital input on the hack.

I have access to a card and 192 but have Vanilla but I think I can't use those two together unfortunately.

Good afternoon friends of the forum, I'm in Brazil and my first doubt:

I have a 192i blue, next to a HD Core board, currently running 10HD protools. Will it work with Protools 2018? Anyone using hd core card, acell etc with this system, or would it just work via omni?

Thank you

Core cards and Accel cards will absolutely not work with anything past 10HD. No version of Pro Tools 11, 12, 2018, or 2019.

The 192 (with adapter cables) will continue to work with the new cards (HDX) made by Avid.

Hi, welcome to the community.

As said, HD is not supported with 64bit PT starting with 11.0 so you will need either HDX or HDN -- but you can still use the old blue-faced DigiDesign branded interfaces. The new smaller DigiLink connector is electrically compatible with the original larger DigiLink connector, all you need is an adapter. As long as you have a card with the new small connectors (HDX/HDN) that are supported with PT11 and later.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you upgraded lately? Since PT12.6 you also need a DigiLink i/o license

Yes. Though be aware that the old blue DigiDesign branded interfaces are not supported, but are still working as always.

I was told the only reason 192s aren't officially supported is that a chip they use is no longer available as a service part.
