Default disable hyperthreading

Hello People..I received M-Box 2 w/ ProTools LE for a xmas present. It is version 6.8.1.m I haven't installed it yet because I am preparing my computer (Pentium 4 w/ hyperthreading), by deleting some files, unused programs and general cleanup. One requirement listed is to disable hyperthreading in the bios. Because I have the new program I am allowed an upgrade to Protools version 7. I have read in the compatability section at digidesign.com that version 7 will work with hyperthreading enabled. Here is my conundrum...do I really have to disable hyperthreading to download my 6.8.1 version even though upgrading to version 7 (which I plan to do immediately) doesn't require that hyperthreading be disabled. If anyone knows anything about this please tell me. I do not have a simple able/disable command in my computer bios for hyperthreading. Doing so is a complete hassle, especially if I don't need to. Any clues??? thanks for any input
Rockin' Billy

Default Re: disable hyperthreading

I did answer in your other thread, even though it was in the wrong place.
