Default Non-Approved Video Cards?

Anybody using non-approved Video capture cards for referencing video with Protools (MAC/PCI). I'm looking for the cheapest way to go. Please tell what you've got and how well or not well its working. A DC-20 card is what I would like to use but I've been unsuccessful in finding one. Thanks for any suggestions.
