difference between mix, mix plus, and mix3
hey.. im looking to upgrade from my digi 001 setup. 24 tracks was alot for me a year ago, but the stuff im working on involves alot more tracks. im tired of bouncing tracks between sessions.
my question is, is there any difference between the mix, mix plus, and mix 3 other then the amount of i/o cards? it seems like the mix plus, is basically a mix system w/ another i/o card [for 16 more inputs] does it work like that, where i could buy the mix systme now, then when i have more money buy another i/o card that would upgrade me to a mix plus. im short on money now, but i dont want to get something that is going to limit me in the future. thanks for any help |

Re: difference between mix, mix plus, and mix3
Hi,
Mix = 1 Mix Core Mix + = 1 Mix core + 1 Mix Farm Mix 3 = 1 Mix core + 2 Mix Farms Get a core and you can expand at a later date. It just might cost you more. tech |

Re: difference between mix, mix plus, and mix3
major_thom,
The usual Mix card isn't only for I/O. It also gives DSP to run the Pro Tools mixer and TDM plug-ins. If I remember correctly, there is also a Mix card that offers I/O only. Z |
