Avid Video Engine will not load

Since a couple of days my Avid Video Engine will not launch.
I get "Timeout while trying to connect to the Avid Video Engine".
Got around the issue last week by creating a new admin account.
The new admin would run fine while the old one would still give the error.

But today the new admin also produces the error.
I see lots of people having this issue but i see no response from Avid?!

Gear:
Mac Pro 2015
PT 11.3.1
Blackmagic Extreme thunderbolt
OSX 10.10.2

Tried:
Repairing permissions
Manually deleting and reinstalling Protools
Deleting all prefs using PT Prefs app
Disconnected all external drives
Disconnecting Artist Mix and Artist Control
To no success

I am having the same problem. Sorry I couldn't help at all. Just wanted you to know you're not alone. Mine was working fine after installing 11.3.1 back when it was released. All of a sudden, last week, it just stopped working. I've had no luck with any of the work arounds either. Total bummer.

Thanks, i went back to PT10 which presents a whole lot of other problems but it at least plays video...
