Hybrid Re-Install

Try deleting any of these files that are on your system:

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins/
Hybrid.dpm
Hybrid (folder)

Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/
Any version of Hybrid that is there

Then install Hybrid 1.5.2 from the Hybrid product section, then the 1.5.3 udpate:
www.digidesign.com/air/hybrid

I believe that should work.

Did exactly that. There were no receipts for Hybrid but I even deleted Hybrid's entries within InstallHistory.plist. Still does not work. Man, I'd like to use my synth...

When I went to use to 1.5.2 installer, the same error came up.

I would also really like to use this plug...

There has got to be something else the installer is looking at to verify installation. Please let us know how to restore it or please provide us with an updater that can install without this limitation.

Absolutely. I did a couple of searches with Spotlight but it seems unable to search inside system folders like library. I found entries for Hybrid manually within the file ~/Library/Preferences/DAE Prefs/Installed plug-ins (no extension) although I had trashed the DAE Prefs folder and all plugins when reinstalling PT! Deleting (or renaming) that file once more does not yield any effect except that the file appears again with the same content when PT starts up the next time. Weird...

You're looking at your reciepts after you log in to the Avid/Digistore, correct? The one we saw was from, I believe, 2007..

I thought we were looking for Receipts in the Library folder of our hard drives. Sorry, were we talking about a "purchase receipt" or a receipt file in our Library Folder? Or are they related?

You are correct, I purchased Hybrid in 2007. Is this related to the issue?

I'm a little confused now, but I really do appreciate your help working through this.

Hi filosfem!

The Hybrid installer is the only one I'm trying to do a "clean install" for.

All other SL AIR installers create compatibility with SL, however the major AIR issues are still waiting for a fix. Such as:

1. Correct EXS/NKI import in Structure and correct RAM management of samples. Better performance.

2. Hybrid issues. (Presets)

3. Strike (Haven't used this since I got BFD2.)

Tweaking on any of these plugs for longer than an hour will eventually cause some kind of memory leak (Or thats what it "feels" like.) leading to some type of crash:

1. CPU error.
2. Quit to the finder.
3. Spinning Beach ball.

That is how my day is every day. As long as I restart it's "50 First Dates" all over again. hehe!

No.

That is correct. DigiTechSupt and I were talking about 2 different things. When I suggested deleting some Hybrid files, the one on your hard drive in the Library/Receipts folder was what I was talking about, not your order receipt.

I only mentioned that because I have seen sometimes in the past that a clean install of a plug-in didn't work properly because of a file in the receipts folder that was seen as newer than the installation receipt file. I haven't seen this lately from anyone, but thought it worth a shot to see if we could figure out why you were not able to install the Hybrid 1.5.3 update.
