These could both be causing problems. Try disabling them before you use PT.

Also, could you please list your installed plugins, including version numbers? (That's "installed", not "used in session"). Any other audio programs installed? Which ones and what versions?

Could you also detail the session(s) where you are experiencing this problem? How many tracks, what plugins you are using, sample rate, bit depth, etc etc?

We usually like to leave other posts up so they can help other people who might be having similar problems.

Really? A Card Reader and a USB Driver/Device?

Ok... will try!!

Here's the info requested.

Waves Diamond Bundle v5.0 and the L3's v5.2
Antares Vocal Kit v5.0
A slew of other VST plugins that are obviously not used in PT
(Licensed, not cracked! We installed them with the license from our large facility)

None in use in the session.

I made a 4 Track beat off the MP and Motif, Mo Phatt, etc, and dumped it in,
copying it out to 4 minutes or so.

Another session does the same thing, with a single audio track at 24 bit 44.1 no plugs.

My bad....

Error #'s 9129, 9092, 6085, and one more that ells me to try disconnecting any other firewire devices on that bus.... 002 Rack is the only thing on it.

OTHER SOFTWARE:
Sonar 6 Producer Edition
Reason 3.0
CD Architect 5.0

Photoshop CS2

Other little stuff non music related, printer drivers, ATI Catalyst software for Vid Card, etc.

I think Nero is on there for my DVD Burner, ATI's stupid media player, Windows media player...

Can't think of anything else of significance.

Have you run the waves PT7 patch? Not having it shouldn't cause this problem, but it's necessary for other issues. Updated PACE drivers as well.

Doesn't the MSI K9VGM have onboard video? That could be a problem.

You're using the Samsung SATA drive for sessions, correct?

No, haven't installed the PT7 Patch - will try
Will update PACE Drivers tonight

Yes - using the Samsung for Audio

Yes, has onboard Video-
Can this be turned off?
I am using an ATI X700 Pro PCIe card (2456 MB?)
I Also noticed that 64MB shared is set up in the BIOS, can I set it to NONE?

Well, it looks like you already have the onboard video turned off in the bios since it isn't showing up on the sandra report, but it still might be causing a problem just being there. It's one of the reasons why onboard video is not recommended.

If you can turn off the 64MB shared in the BIOS, I would try that.

Picky Picky....

I appreciate the info.

I'll try these additional things this evening and post my results back on this thread.

I'll try to remember everything I've done and list them in succession so as to provide a detailed
log of my troubleshooting procedures. Perhaps that will also help other users, and if I'm still down, we'll all have a good idea where we're at.

(I also just realized that I installed the Windows XP Dual Core Hotfix, but didn't complete the alterations to the "regedit"... maybe that's part of it too.)

Thanx Again

Hey... Where the crap do I find the PACE Drivers? For LE 7.1

What are they? I can't find them on Digi's site.

Their site's kinda screwy.

Thanx!
