Default Disk Doctor vs. Disk Warrior??

I'm a long standing Norton Disk Doctor user. Lately I've noticed many Pro Tools users, and all Avids, using Disk Warrior. A while back Avid switched delivering their systems with DD to DW. What are the differences?

Also, when using Disk Warrior, should I enable "protection" (I think that's what it is called). It is some kind of extension that checks hard drives. My thought is it might interfere with Pro Tools.

How do most DW users use DW?
