Best way to edit MIDI tracks
I am trying to make my own loops using a keyboard, but the only way I am editing it with the rest of my audio tracks is to bounce to disk to a wav file and import it into an audio track.
Is there a better way to accomplish this, meaning editing (cutting/pasting/moving/trimming etc). Thanks |

Re: Best way to edit MIDI tracks
switch to "regions" view on your midi tracks. You midi will look and behave (from an editing standpoint) like an audio file.
Also, instead of bounce to disk and then import back in... assign the output of your instrument track to an open stereo bus (Bus 1-2 for example). Create a stereo audio track, set it's input to that same bus (for our example, Bus 1-2). Record enable the new track and hit record. All the audio will get recorded onto the new track, without the need to BTD and then import. |
