Default Mc pro ssd

FYI, i just put a crucial SSD in my MC Pro,

and the only word i have in mind is : WOW !

It's really really good, no more wait to enter the pref and change the solo modo to X, to go in setup mode etc

Roll,

Have you done the same for the 408t? I would be interested to have ssd on both the MC Pro and the 4 fader packs.

I don't believe the fader packs have SSD drive, the technology is too old, but do you feel the 408T load much faster since you installed the SSD on the MC Pro?

I have a MC S5 with 16 faders and my question is: I take it the hard drive you replaced in the MC Pro was the "windows system drive"? Yes? If so, what "REAL" performance enhancements did putting the SSD drive return?

Like most, I am having so many issues with the interactions between the Windows and Mac worlds...

Would love to know.

Thanks,

the REAL performance honestly is the fact that there is no more latency when you use the function of the MC pro. with a normal hard drive, the wake up time of the disk is so slow i stopped using the touch screen and other button. As the SSD do not have a sleep mode, it's always quick.

I do not have any problem with Mac - MC pro interaction causing by the hard drive.

Roland,

You change the MC pro hard drive for a SSD drive. Are you using the MC Pro along with the fader packs or just by itself? I would love to add an SSD to the MC Pro if it work well with the fader packs. If so, would you mind sharing what Kind of SSD you've installed?

Thanks!

Well since it is quiet here, I went ahead and installed a SSD drive in the MC Pro and it seems to work pretty well. That along with a new 6 Gb/s PCIe card 480 gig SSD (disk sytem) in my 2012 Mac Pro.

Nothing will slow me down now!
