Sends problem.
Hi everybody.
Please help me figure this out because I am completely clueless. I have Overheard track going to Drum Bus. Drum Buss is going into Submaster that outputs via channels 1-2 into main Master. I have a reverb send on OH channel going to Aux with Reverb plugin on it. Reverb Aux is going to Submaster. Now. When I mute Drum Bus (not OH channel) obviously no signal plays in Submaster BUT I can still hear the reverb !!! Reverb goes away only when I mute actual OH channel. How is that possible if the send is not set up prefader and the main Drum Bus is muted. Do you actually have to mute the channel itself for the send to be affected? Is there anyway I can have "send not sending anything to the reverb aux" and not being individually muted using only group Drum Bus? Thanks :) |

Re: Sends problem.
You have the send on the OH channel to the Reverb Aux, yes? Why would you expect the status of the destination of the OH output to affect a send located upstream?
Prefader/postfader would only matter for that send if the send was on the DrumBus. Not one level away. You could group the OH channel with the drumbus (take it out of global and make mute/solo the only things affected.) Or, depending on what processing you have on the Drumbus, you could route that Reverb Aux to the drumbus instead of the submaster. |
