PT 10 and OSX 10.7.3?
I was gonna take the plunge & upgrade to Lion, but it just occurred to me that 10.7.3 might not be 'approved' for use with PT 10. I've looked at various Avid posts & they make vague references to Lion 10.7x. Only one included a reference to 10.7.1 & .2. Anyone have specific info regarding 10.7.3? Since I just purchased Lion, guess it's not possible to download an earlier version.

Re: PT 10 and OSX 10.7.3?
Yes you can download earlier versions, but it's only to update an even earlier previously installed version of Lion. Back to my original question, does anyone know if PTHD 10 is qualified/works with Lion 10.7.3?

Re: PT 10 and OSX 10.7.3?
Hy friends,
PT 10.0 or 10.0.1 is not running correctly with Midi Recording on OSX 10.7.3. If you record a Miditrack from bar 1 to 5 for example, and then from 5 to 8, both bars are merging and are not 2 seperate blocks like normally. Sometimes if you are in looprecord for example 1 to 5 you get a block from 1 to 6. Next Problem no correct Quantize. I tried it on several Macs, same problem! So I have to switch back to Snow Leopard or wait for next Update... The Installation Prozedure takes me some days for all librarys and PlugIns. I have to make a backup next time with TimeMashine. Best regards Kalle. |

Re: PT 10 and OSX 10.7.3?
I've spent the last couple days first updating to 10.1.1 & then OSX 10.7.3. Happy to report that everything is working good so far. A some of the stock Digi plugins are now updated.

Re: PT 10 and OSX 10.7.3?
Seems to be specific to the OS, whole configuration, machine etc. 10.7.3+PT 10.0.1 on an iMac seems to work here so far, midi recording does work, audio recording same, bouncing, VIs etc...only the widely known 1024-issue occurs, which can be get worked around as described in previous posts. Can of course only be lucky here ... good luck to everybody!
P.S. if Avid will get rid of the PT10-bugs via updates, it definitely will be the coolest PT-version ever, worth the money IMO, especially for people who are gonna keep their 32-bit equipment for a longer time (as PT11 will not work with the audiointerfaces and RTAS-plugs anymore). Soundquality and features of PT10 are just f... awesome! |

Re: PT 10 and OSX 10.7.3?
Hey guys - just downloaded PT10 for Mac and upgraded to Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 today.
PT isn't launching - got this error message: "Error, missing iLok authorization for 'Pro Tools 10'. Please insert the necessary iLok and restart Pro Tools." I already registered/authorized the new PT download and went to iLok.com and the PACE iLok site and downloaded drivers several times. No bueno. I couldn't find the fix for PT or iLok (even after scrolling through 10 pages of posts filled with all your struggles ), so I'd love help - [email protected] Also - Any other "really obvious" errors I should expect? (like downgrading the OS, jiggy plug-ins, or anything comin'? Thanks! PastoRob |
