Default Xpand! woes

I just got the Xpand! disk 1.01 r2- put the disk in the computer, installed, got the "installation successful"... howver I have no idea where it's putting this?!? The documentation says it places everything in Applications/Digidesign/plug-ins... but it's not there

nor is it (apparently anywhere else that the computer can find)!

I've opened a session , created a new track with "samples" selected.... audio suite doesn't see it..

I tried the Xpand!.dat but after copying it the graphic reader program doesn't recognize it.

I thought maybe it was some weird midi thing. I have a Roland controller, which only has one MIDI out, connected to the MIDI in on my 002R... I get a blinking light on the MIDI IN Led...

I've tried the variopus options under Hardware-> MIDI and I can either ghet a blinking light on output 1 or 2 (however since I don't know where this would be connected to I'm at a loss)

I'll admit I'm MIDI stupid, but what am I doing wrong?

002R/C|24 PTLE 7. whatever the latest release is cs10, Mac G5 2.3, 1 GB RAM, 500 GB storage

If that's not a typo, then it's probably your issue - Xpand! isn't an AudioSuite application, it's an RTAS instrument and as such should appear under the "instruments" section of the drop-down list which opens when you try to put a plug-in on an insert on an aux/instrument track.

Sorry if I've missed the point and that's just me stating the obvious.

OSX: library/application support/digidesign/plugins

Should be in that plugins folder.
