Default Xpand! - Librarian Menu doesn\'t show any presets

The title pretty much sums it up. In both 1.0 and 1.0.1 (which I had to install by manually copying Xpand!.dpm) nothing but "factory default" shows up in the Librarian Menu in Xpand. Any ideas?

Where is the Xpand!.dat file located on your system?

Have you tried running the Set Xpand! Content Location application? You can download it from the Xpand! 1.0.1 page.

I have not moved the .dat file.

Also, lately I have been having a few non ProTools related mac problems I have been unable to solve so I wiped the HD and reinstalled the OS. I installed PT 7.0, updated to 7.1, installed xpand 1.0.1 r2, and had the same problem. Just to clarify exactly what I am experiencing, here is one of Scott's articles on Xpand! (with pictures):

http://www.audiomidi.com/classroom/p...tcorner_16.cfm

when he says "I have chosen 14 E Pianos + Clav > 03 Tremolo Suitcase" the picture immediately following shows the menu I cannot get. this menu has the numbers in it (as in "14 E Pianos + Clav"). the only item I get is "factory default." this is very frustrating, all of the voices are there, just not the presets.

any ideas?

I figured it out. It was a permissions problem. The xpand installer apparently set the permissions pretty rigid on the xpand presets folder (compared to all the other presets folder at least). I changed the owner of /Library/Application Support/Digidesign and all subfolders/files to the user I use to run protools and it seems to work fine now. Can't believe I didn't think of that months ago...
