Default SC48 troubleshooting. Will not boot beyond Standby Mode.

Hello!

My vendors 1 SC48 shutdown midshow (preceded by gibberish on screen), and now does not boot beyond the Standby mode.

RAM and cards have been reseated, and RAM has been changed (i have been told)

I was wondering if there is a risk involved in swapping the HDD from the other console to verify is it is a hardware or software issue.

Grateful for all inputs.

Regards,
Sidhu

I guess instead of booting from the other HDD you could try to boot from the CD, makes the same. Gut tells me you might be looking at a new motherboard But as always, talk to the VENUE tech support!

Thank you Kristo!

I did not get to the swapping of HDD or anything.
I took out the ram, and the board did not beep.

So has been handed over to Avid support.

Thank you.
Sidhu
