Satellite Link Question

I do have a question regarding Satellite Link which for some reason I could not find an answer to online.

When using Satellite Link, do the tracks of the slave systems actually show up in the edit/mixer window and can be fully edited?

No. Separate computers with separate monitors and keyboards or you can try either a kvm switch or one of the desktop sharing apps to share keyboard/monitor among more than one system. The only thing satellite does for you is allow the transports of multiple sessions (and one Media Composer) to run in sync. When you edit on one system, the others locate to the same point unless you take it offline.

I remember talking with a couple of Digi guys at an AES conference a few years ago when satellites were introduced. I asked for that exact feature! It would be very handy, and probably a nightmare to program.

Not to hijack but what I'd love to see them implement for satellite link is on a d control when you switch machine it actually switches the keyboard too.
